MOVIFIT® : Controller with PNO certificate
On August 1, 2007, the PNO (PROFIBUS user organization) certified the MOVIFIT® drive controller of SEW-EURODRIVE as the first PROFINET IO/PROFIsafe unit.
Now, MOVIFIT® also offers frequently required safety functions through PROFIsafe. So far, mechanical protection devices, such as covers, guards or fences
have ensured operator safety. Although these measures protected the employees during maintenance or changeover in the isolated work areas, it also
inevitably meant that plant operation had to be stopped. The integrated safety technology of the decentralized MOVIFIT® drive controller allows
employees to work in the protection area without interfering with plant operation. The big advantage of this technology is that users do not need
a separate safety controller and cabling. The PROFIsafe functionality is integrated in MOVIFIT® as an option with the designation S11.

For germ-free production environments, SEW-EURODRIVE offers a special variant of the decentralized
MOVIFIT® drive controller with anti-adhering properties. The HygienicPlus option minimizes the
cleaning effort, which reduces cleaning and standstill times. The smooth surface design and texture
prevent dirt from building up. The surface is permanent, since no particles come off.
