MOVIFIT^® – Hygienic^Plus Design

Each end user is grateful to know that high demands are made concerning hygiene in all "sensitive production areas." That statement applies to employees as well as all machines and systems involved. This approach is the only way to ensure that contaminated food products, cosmetics or drugs do not enter the market. That is particularly important for certain branches of industry, such as the beverage and food industry as well as the chemical and pharmaceutical industry.

Cleaning systems in these sensitive production areas is an extremely important factor. Each cleaning process means a production standstill, which costs money. A suitable special surface treatment of the system components allows for the use of aggressive cleaning agents, minimizing the standstill times. In addition to that, this special surface offers protection against corrosion and is self-cleaning due to anti-adhesive properties.

For the high demands placed on applications in the hygienic area, drive specialist SEW-EURODRIVE offers a special design for the MOVIFIT^® decentralized drive control system. It is available for the MOVIFIT^® FC and MOVIFIT^® SC product variants and requires the use of stainless steel cable glands and screw plugs.

The Hygienic^Plus option provides the drive controllers with anti-adhesive properties that are usually only known from pots and frying pans. The surface is permanent, since no particles are discharged. It is also highly resistant against mechanical impacts. The drive controller with Hygienic^Plus design comes in enclosure IP69K for protection of the electronic components. It is not affected by common alkaline, acidic or disinfectant leaning agents, which ensures the highest degree of reliability possible.
