Situated on a 9,000m² site, the new premises are more than three times larger than the previous facility, providing ample capacity for future expansion. The additional space enables SEW-EURODRIVE to broaden its local product assembly and service offering, including the introduction of industrial gear solutions and expanded servicing of standard gear units.

"The size of the new site has allowed us to extend our capabilities into industrial gear and larger standard gear unit services, positioning us for long-term growth while providing customers with greater local support," Wayne explained.

The expanded facility delivers increased assembly capacity, improved workshop layouts, enhanced safety standards and more efficient workflows. These improvements will enable faster response times, greater local assembly capability and shorter service turnaround times for customers throughout Western Australia.

"Our expanded assembly and service offering will further strengthen our self-reliance in Western Australia while reducing lead times and providing faster, more responsive local support," Wayne added.

The new facility has also been designed around proven workflows and production layouts that align with SEW-EURODRIVE's eastern Australian operations and global standards. This ensures best-practice processes are consistently applied across customer service, assembly, and servicing, maximising efficiency, safety and operational excellence.

Looking ahead, Wayne is particularly excited about the opportunities the new facility creates.

"Expanding into industrial gear services opens an exciting new chapter for our Western Australian operation and allows us to better support existing customers while entering new markets."

As Western Australia's industries continue to grow and evolve, SEW-EURODRIVE's new Bayswater facility stands as a significant investment in local capability, innovation and customer service. It reinforces the company's ongoing commitment to Quality, Service and Delivery providing the solutions and support that drive Australian industry forward.
