Over the past 20 years we have collectively raised almost $2,000,000 in the support of Mental Illness cause.
We feel that we have done an exceptional job in assisting the breaking down of the barriers and stigma related to this for 20 years and are now embracing a new challenge – supporting autistic people and their families.
We are pleased and honoured to dedicate the next chapter of our efforts to this cause and are excited to partner AMAZE on this journey.
Amaze began its life as an association in the late 60’s by families of autistic people. For 50 years, Amaze has continued to provide information, advice and support for autistic people, their families and supporters, autism researchers, health professionals and services in Victoria.
Together, we aim to raise much needed funds to raise the awareness of Autism, provide independent and creditable information and support to autistic people and their families AND advocate to Governments and the broader community to influence systematic change in improving the lives of autistic people.
Joining us on this journey is our major sponsor since day one, the ANZ Bank. They have been an integral part of our wonderful events since 1998. To continue their undying support of these events certainly speaks volumes of their understanding and awareness of the issues that numerous people in our community require support in.
The ongoing support shown by SEW’s wider network to this event has developed and nurtured a strong bond over the years. This bond is a true testament of the charitable nature of the community that is strongly present and continues to drive SEW’s motivation to host this event annually.
